About Us

We’re just a normal family living in a normal neighborhood of San Diego.

Fed up with feeling so disconnected with the food we eat, we started on a journey to grow 25% of our food right on the property we live on.

We’re not professionals.
We aren’t trained.
We’ve never even taken an intro to gardening class.

We’re just trying to figure it out. And we love it!

On this site we’ll blog about our successes, failures, and things we’re learning on our journey.

Quick facts:

We rent out home. Thankfully, our landlord loves gardening and is all about our journey.
Our property is a normal city lot.
Most of our garden used to be grass. Less mowing and more eating!
